Hydra:

• where Leonard Cohen came once on holiday in the 60s and ended up staying 6 years
• where the cats are more than the tourists
• where fishermen have the most glorious moustaches
• where all vehicles are banned and donkeys and mules are running the show

We came so far for beauty.

All pics are shot on film: the black and white pictures are shot on Kodak Tri-X 400TX 35mm, the colour ones on Kodak ColorPlus.

I instantly fell in love with Athens – with its immense beauty, ancient history, warmth, laid backness, badass graffiti and … its Cats.

We were privileged to accompany Andrew Kelleher – a volunteer for the cat charity Nine Lives /Οι Εφτάψυχες on his evening round giving the little cuties their dinner. Some of them gave me the honour to pose for my camera. The pictures are shot on Kodak ColorPlus film.

Nine Lives /Οι Εφτάψυχες is a volunteer organisation that helps stray cats in Athens, Greece, through feeding, vet care, neutering and adoption. You can find out how to support them here:
